Renting an apartment in London

For students, working professionals and tourists visiting London for a short visit or a long stay, apartments are very convenient stops. The advantage of staying in an apartment in London, as opposed to a hotel, is the price, comfort and independence offered by the former option.

However, not all apartments are cheap in London. In fact, serviced apartments in the exclusive areas of Notting Hill, Westminster and Chelsea can cost in excess of £1000 a week, which is more than the price of renting villas in Lanzarote. However, most of these apartments come with full service, so you can relax during your stay in London. Apartments generally get cheaper in the off-season for tourists. In London, the price of apartments also varies according to area. Apartments located in or near Central London are always more expensive than apartments located even slightly outside Central London.

Despite the high prices of certain apartments, they are always in demand as London is one of the world’s most popular cities to travel and do business. If you do decide to go in for an apartment in London, make sure that you research plenty of websites of apartment agents to get the best deal. Remember that if your apartment is not a serviced one, then you are likely to get a much better price than a serviced apartment. In fact, these can even be rented for around £350 a week.

When compared to just renting a room in a house or flat in London, apartments are definitely a more expensive option. It has been seen that the renting an entire apartment for a week is the equivalent of a month’s rent for a room in a house or flat. The advantage, obviously, is that in an apartment you have your own kitchen, bedroom, bathroom and living room, which does not have to be shared with anyone.
